Tom brings over 40 years experience representing clients in criminal matters ranging from misdemeanor offenses to major felonies, including capital offenses. Tom has extensive experience representing clients in OVI / DUI offenses, providing vigorous representation to ensure favorable results for his clients. He has tried numerous jury trials in state and federal courts throughout Ohio.
Tom also has a wide breadth of experience in civil litigation, specializing in personal injury, business litigation, and handling first party insurance claims, including, but not limited to, fire claims. Tom has completed a National College of Advocacy fire insurance specialized course. He has tried numerous civil jury trials in state and federal courts throughout Ohio.
Tom is highly regarded and respected among his peers. In 2012, Tom was the recipient of The Cardinal Robert J. Bellarmine, S.J. Award, which is given annually to an alumnus of St. Ignatius High School in the legal profession who sets and achieves exemplary standards for themselves personally and in the legal field.
Tom grew up in Cleveland's near west side in "the Angle" and now resides in Westlake with his wife Holly. He has three boys, Tom, who lives in Dublin, Ireland, and Chris and Brendan, who are both attorneys in Cleveland
